My Website is now live! It isn't anything special to look at, and I was literally toying around with color schemes for a while just to get something else out there.

I like your images for your assignments. I used images a lot closer to the size of thumbnails, and I think I'm going to go back and enlarge them. The detail you get with the larger size does a way better job of communicating the finished project.
ReplyDeleteThank you both for the compliments. I personally don't feel as though it is my best work, especially since I made certain it was simple. I had a bit of a habit of overcomplicating my programs as an undergrad, so I stuck with the idea that simple is better.
ReplyDeleteAs for the images, I think they could have been better. Some of the text is near-unreadable, and I've been debating whether to make them larger or leave them as-is. I mean, we do have the space to burn, since we are working mostly with text, so making them larger wouldn't be a bad idea.
But I know if I do that round of edits, I'd end up adding a few other things I overlooked (like links back to the index) or even something entirely off the mark. Since the assignment still has more than a week before it's due, who knows what will happen. . . ^^;

Your site looks good and I agree that simpler is better. However, I noticed that the link "xkcd" on your link page leads to a 404 error. Wanted to let you know in case you were unaware so you don't lose points over it.

I just wanted to say thank you again for pointing out the error with the link. I fixed the problem, added a few more, and set everything to return back to the home page.
ReplyDeleteAgain, I'm keeping myself from playing with the colors, adding background images, listing every hobby I have, etc. I think I would be here all day doing that ^^;
